ABOUT THIS LOGO

For this design, the client wanted to use old nautical imagery to play off the word "Commonwealth" in the company name. We suggested various options, including various uses of a compass image, but the client settled on the concept of an old-style naval frigate. Despite the level of detail in the design, we maintained clean contours in the drawing of the ship, which means that it is simple enough to be suitable for use with a wide variety of media (embossing, foil stamping, embroidery etc). The clean lines and bold areas of color in the logo image also help contribute to the impression of movement and action in the design.
