Not a bad logo, but spoiled by the sprocket/swoosh thing in the background. The text is good and would have made a stronger logo on its own, without the background image.

When you have something with lots of detail - like a sprocket - and you put it behind text, you will usually end up with a busy logo. This one does not do too badly but it just doesn't quite come together. I had to pay close attention to it to see that it's a sprocket going around a globe. That was not immediately obvious. My first impression was that it's skew.

My verdict is that it can be saved without destroying the brand. It should be simplified some. If they just removed the swoosh I'll bet that only 5% of people will notice the change - and that alone will leave them with a better looking and more practical logo.
