Wave logos are fairly popular and from where we are standing seem to be becoming more popular by the day. Many of the wave logos out there are variations of or "inspired by" the Nike swoosh logo.

The problem with a very popular type of logo - such as wave logos - is that it becomes more difficult to create something unique. For the wave in this logo we decided to differentiate it through unusual colors. The teal wave, black water and yellow sky makes for a more unique logo and by implication also one that is far more striking and memorable than it would have been had we used normal, expected colors.
